Next year in 2019 I want to apply Chinese Govt Scholarship (CGS) and considering Chinese Agri Univ (CAU) and Peking Univ, both in Beijing, for my master study.

I choose CGS over other choice mainly because the benefit of studying Mandarin during first year. By the time I will have graduated, I will have built 2 differences skills, my master degree and my Mandarin ability.

Having said that, I still doubt with the decision and want to ask many questions. If may you have the experience living, studying in Beijing or getting CGS in general, please help me;

1. What's your opinion about the language prep in general?

2. Is studying Mandarin for 1 year enable you to successfully understand and follow the class during master?

3. Can I extend the Mandarin Class up to 2 years, if possible, how?

4. What about the language class schedule, in general, and what you learn through the year?

Any thought would be highly appreciated.
