hightree Posted July 26, 2010 at 06:00 PM Report Posted July 26, 2010 at 06:00 PM we have many people buying organic skin care to take to china. they appreciate that it is made in the USA and has no toxic ingredients or additives, and most of them smell great with lavender and sweet orange. also organic baby products and men's organic skincare sets. there has been a big demand in the last two years, and more and more are asking for shipping to china. make sure it is usda certified organic. aroberts42 Posted September 20, 2010 at 12:24 PM Report Posted September 20, 2010 at 12:24 PM Hi. I had the same problem last year when planning our trip. Don't bring anything that is "made in China." I know, in America, it is hard to find anything that is actually made in America, so we went with food items. We brought wine from a local winery, locally made honey, and locally produced gator jerkey (we are from FL lol). Espeically if you are going to southern China like Hunan, they love alcohol. Quote
julice Posted September 24, 2010 at 06:26 AM Report Posted September 24, 2010 at 06:26 AM I agree that food is a good idea. I have not seen anyone offended by food. I like the idea of bring over U.S. candy and U.S. popcorn. Quote
aroberts42 Posted September 26, 2010 at 09:54 AM Report Posted September 26, 2010 at 09:54 AM American candy is a great idea, especially if you are teaching (just make sure you bring a lot, you might have over a 1,000 students!). They have popcorn here though, so they might be less impressed with it. But I haven't actually had the popcorn here, it might be really different. Quote
