Some help with translations!

I have been practising Kungfu for some years now and am curious of some words we use during training. I understand that they are either mandarin or cantonese. I know that Juen means Turn while Tek means kick. So this should help you get what language we are speaking about.

The style of my arts is called Mon Lung. It is dragon style. Can someone tell me what Mon Lung means?

It's Cantonese. Lung/Long is probably Dragon, don't know what Mon is...(btw there's no "Mon" sound in Cantonese, no "Lung" either strictly speaking however I do recognize that as Dragon) I looked at your site, but there's no Chinese characters of the word to look at. I need to see the Chinese to know what it really means. Maybe others more familiar with KungFu can help you.

Mon isn't a valid romanization, it seems that it should be something like "Mong", and it can be 望, 汒, 網, 魍.... and still much more to come.

I've have been doing a dragon style of kung fu for some time now as well, my school calls itself "loong choo" which is Cantonese for "Dragon Pearl". In Mandarin it is 龙球 (long qiu).... whenever I'm going for training my Chinese and Japanese friends laugh at me because 龙球 (actually it has the traditional characters on my uniform... but anyway...) is the name of a Japanese cartoon series, we call it "Dragonball Z"

loong choo is more Mandarin than Cantonese. 龙球 is "Long Kaou" in Cantonese. Did you mean 龙珠 (Mandarin: Long Zhu/Cant: Long Ju)? Dragonball Z is called 龙珠.
