iaas206 Posted March 6, 2019 at 01:19 PM Report Posted March 6, 2019 at 01:19 PM The consultant doesn't seem to have a very good level of English and they're asking for a copy of my degree certificate and passport before I've paid for anything, 'in order to give me better advice'. Is this a scam? 1 Quote
roddy Posted March 6, 2019 at 04:01 PM Report Posted March 6, 2019 at 04:01 PM Literally a decade ago they stole stuff I wrote and I still haven't forgiven them. In fact, i think I sent them an invoice for use of my content they never paid. Which means they've been around for 10 years, which is more than most, at least. I can't see why they couldn't advise you based on what you say is in your degree cert and passport. What are you actually trying to do, we'll advise you! 1 Quote
iaas206 Posted March 6, 2019 at 11:23 PM Author Report Posted March 6, 2019 at 11:23 PM I think I found that thread today hahaha. Yeah, I'm a bit worried about sending my identity to an untrusted company in China... I'm trying to get accepted onto an Economics masters/ PgDip in China with a BA(Hons) in Modern Languages from the UK. I sent emails to the admissions teams of about 20 universities over a week ago but have as yet got 2 responses (one of which was negative and the other was an automatic reply which didn't address my question). I would normally try and get stuff done alone and not trust 3rd parties but in this case I feel like I need some help! I did post in here asking for tips of how to get the admissions teams' attention or advice about secific universities that might accept me actually: https://www.chinese-forums.com/forums/topic/58008-economics-masters-in-china-with-modern-languages-bachelor-degree/ Any help greatly appreciated! 1 Quote
