I am currently studying mandarin at Zhejiang University (Chinese non-degree language programme), with which I'm very happy, and I had the chance to receive a full CSC scolarship for one year. But obviously, learning Chinese for only one year is not enough and I'm thinking about extending my stay here to another year: so I'm wondering whether it is possible to ask for an extension of my scolarship... So far I have had contradictory information: my university's international office said it is not possible, the contact person of the Chinese embassy in my home country told me it was possible (and that I had to talk to the international office of my university...), the CSC website states that scolarships can last for up to two years (for general scholars), and I've seen on one website that the extension was only possible for PhD students... Anyone has more information on this? Or has already requested an extension? Thanks!
