vellocet Posted March 12, 2019 at 05:56 AM Report Posted March 12, 2019 at 05:56 AM I keep needing to share files between my phone, my computer, and other people's computers. Some people use Google Drive for this, but obviously I can't depend on this working on any random computer in China. There's Baidu Netdisk, but it requires you to install software to work. Plus I've had bad experiences with trying to access some Baidu services outside China. Is there any net disk provider that works everywhere and doesn't require that I install their software? 1 Quote
xinoxanu Posted March 12, 2019 at 06:43 AM Report Posted March 12, 2019 at 06:43 AM I use wetransfer.com/ and works flawlessly in and out of China, with VPN's and the like. Doesn't even require registering or accounts of any sort; just upload your file via their web interface and you'll get a link to share it. Beware that anything you upload will only stay online for a couple days, and super big files (+3GB) may take a while to download compared to other services... 1 Quote
roddy Posted March 12, 2019 at 07:33 AM Report Posted March 12, 2019 at 07:33 AM I've used Microsoft OneDrive with folk in China a couple of times. Has a web interface and 5GB free. Think that might suit (although xinoxanu's suggest sounds better, as doesn't require registering) Quote

Since it deletes them after 7 days. iCloud is probably a good bet (built into OSX and iOS plus web interface) but only if you're using Apple gear of course. Quote

I checked it out, but it doesn't keep files for long. I want to keep a bunch of files around so they're always there if I need them from someone's computer. 1 hour ago, mungouk said: iCloud is probably a good bet (built into OSX and iOS plus web interface) but only if you're using Apple gear of course. Besides it told me I need a "Microsoft Account" and I haven't had one of those since the MSN Messenger days. I checked out Tencent Drive but it requires you be Wechat or QQ friends with anyone you share with. 微网盘 gives you 20Mb and restricts you to video and pictures. 曲奇云盘 apparently doesn't allow PC logins. 袁杰 Posted March 12, 2019 at 04:59 PM Report Posted March 12, 2019 at 04:59 PM I have not installed any sofewares of Baidu Netdisk and my netdisk has been worked on well for long time.Just use the web interface to upload files and download by Grease monkey script and IDM.You can get any files' real link easily with the help of script and download them without any speed limit by IDM. You can directly find out the extension of Grease monkey in the Chorme Web store. As long as you install this extension and login your Google account at the same time, everything will be backuped. If you don't want to install IDM which is a excellent download software, the downloader of your Browser is also okay. Quote
