New Members Eli24 Posted May 22, 2019 at 06:38 AM New Members Report Posted May 22, 2019 at 06:38 AM Hi guys, Can someone kindly tell me what is the Chinese word written in the below low quality image? Thank you in advance, Eli
feihong Posted May 22, 2019 at 02:37 PM Report Posted May 22, 2019 at 02:37 PM The second character is 分, but I can’t make out the first character. Maybe you could give us a little context? 1
roddy Posted May 22, 2019 at 03:03 PM Report Posted May 22, 2019 at 03:03 PM 萍 is what it looks like to me, but the combination doesn't mean anything as far as I know. 1
feihong Posted May 22, 2019 at 03:55 PM Report Posted May 22, 2019 at 03:55 PM I agree, 评分 is the most likely answer 1
Publius Posted May 23, 2019 at 11:26 PM Report Posted May 23, 2019 at 11:26 PM Once you have bleary old eyes and 80 centimeters to filter out the noise, it's pretty clear actually... 1
889 Posted May 23, 2019 at 11:43 PM Report Posted May 23, 2019 at 11:43 PM That blurry image, it comes from where? Looks too blurry to be a captcha.
New Members Eli24 Posted May 25, 2019 at 06:00 AM Author New Members Report Posted May 25, 2019 at 06:00 AM Thank you all dear friends As you have kindly mentioned 评分 seems to be the right word according to the context too. Thanks a lot!
889 Posted May 25, 2019 at 08:15 AM Report Posted May 25, 2019 at 08:15 AM You're not helping people who help you when you don't provide that context upfront. 2
New Members Eli24 Posted May 26, 2019 at 03:20 AM Author New Members Report Posted May 26, 2019 at 03:20 AM I don't know what's the point of being so angry 889! I faced a problem reading a Chinese phrase and the guys here kindly helped me, respectively I am thankful of them. That's it, so simple! FYI, the phrase was not part of a sentence it was just written beside a diagram if it can satisfy you and become helpful for you! Thanks again from the ones who tried help without hesitating to except any kind of a payback

He was just pointing out that if you have extra context, it's useful for the people who will help you to include that extra context in the original question, which to me is a thoroughly calm and reasonable thing to state.
TheBigZaboon Posted May 27, 2019 at 12:34 AM Report Posted May 27, 2019 at 12:34 AM And giving the context and relevant background information helps others of us benefit from the answers the more experienced here give to you. It also helps to ensure the advice you're given is more accurate and correct. It's not about payback, it's about sharing... TBZ 1
New Members Eli24 Posted May 28, 2019 at 04:00 AM Author New Members Report Posted May 28, 2019 at 04:00 AM My point is that how we can judge without knowing even there has been a context that the writer has not "provided" for the others?! And by "the others" I mean the ones who has tried their best to respond according the topics' title and context. BTW, TDZ, I have thanked "the ones who tried help without hesitating to except any kind of a payback", so I don't get the point of You explaining what it is my thankfulness is about! :)) It is like you say I am thankful of my father, and I come and say it's not about father, it's about mother...
Lu Posted May 28, 2019 at 08:23 AM Report Posted May 28, 2019 at 08:23 AM I'm going to close this thread before this goes further. Eli, feel free to come back next time if you have more questions, but please remember to provide context too. And your thanks have been noted and are much appreciated.
