Thanks for everyone's input!

We will go with Xian, because its a good immersion/culture/cost of living/quality of living mix and we also happen to had some of our experienced teachers from Beijing moving back home there so we have a good teaching base to start from (thats always the hardest part in cities other than Beijing and Shanghai, because the local teachers are often just not experienced enough).

Chengdu got first in the vote, so we might consider that as a next step.
