wai ming Posted September 4, 2005 at 04:23 AM Report Posted September 4, 2005 at 04:23 AM Could anyone tell me what verb is used in Chinese for drying one's hair? And on a related note, how do you say hair-dryer (or blow-dryer) in Chinese? Thanks! Quote
Quest Posted September 4, 2005 at 04:37 AM Report Posted September 4, 2005 at 04:37 AM 弄干,吹干,晒干,晾干,扭干,蒸干,煮干 用电吹风(风筒)把头发吹干。 Quote
semantic nuance Posted November 9, 2005 at 08:51 AM Report Posted November 9, 2005 at 08:51 AM It depends on which tool you use to dry your hair. If you use a piece of cloth or towel to dry your hair, you can use 擦乾頭髮 (擦 =wipe) If you use a hair dryer, you say 吹乾頭髮 Here in Taiwan, we call hair dryer 吹風機. Hope it helps! Quote
