Help with a translation for a graduation thesis title

Hello everyone! I have to translate my graduation thesis title into Chinese because my university requires that. The english title is:

CENSORSHIP IN CHINA

ITS EFFECTS ON THE MIDDLE KINGDOM'S CULTURE

What do you think about

中国的审查制度

对文化的影响

The only thing is that it seems too basic to be a title for a thesis.

How would you translate that?

"Middle Kingdom" in the English title suggests this is a historical study. Is it? Your Chinese title doesn't really address this.
