Forget the English grammar or verb, chinese words could noun, adj, verb etc. freely, everything is interpreted per context , as well as the words position in the whole sentence. Sequence matters the most.. So you figure it is as a verb, perfect! Quote

The biggest problem, though, is the last line: 所剩无几 It means ‘not much left’, but how does it connect with the line before it? Exactly what is in short supply? Quote
