A small tool written in Python: Pinyin Convertor

Recommended Posts

Posted

hi all, it's my first post, I've written a small tool for converting pinyin with numeric tones to pinyin with real tones. You can write pinyin like this "da4 jia1 hao3" and save them in a file, and them run this python script to convert them into pinyin with real tones marked above the characters.

You could download it from my website, and you can see the examples here: before | converted (pls note: view them with your browser's charater encoding set to "UTF-8" : )

You will need a python environment to run this small tool, get python here.

I wrote this tool for a German friend sometime ago, may it be useful for you too :D

Please feel free to post if you have any question : )
