ChristopherB Posted September 29, 2019 at 07:23 AM Report Posted September 29, 2019 at 07:23 AM I understand 設置 means "settings" as it relates software, and that 配置 means "to configure" in computing terms. I'm working on a web application project for Chinese, and would like to have major menu items represented with a single character. Is there is a single character that could represent "application settings"? I was thinking of 治 which I believe means more along the lines of "to administrate". Could this work to convey the meaning succinctly with a single character? Quote
Dlezcano Posted September 29, 2019 at 07:54 AM Report Posted September 29, 2019 at 07:54 AM I would say the best option for that purpose should be 設. 治 has the sense of administer something politically, to rule but also to heal an illness or a wound. 1 Quote
