Gharial Posted October 22, 2019 at 06:56 AM Report Posted October 22, 2019 at 06:56 AM In the Pleco screencaps advertising this add-on there is a small superscript number before the Pinyin thus in 爱 1ài* to indicate that character's frequency relative to complete homophones, and an asterisk following that and e.g. 上来 shànglai* to mark the most frequent item in a mono or polysyllabic homophonous set if tones are disregarded. As their inclusion or not judging from the screencaps seems a bit spotty, are these simply just chance relics from the print to digitization process (I'm assuming so, reluctantly) or is it an actual feature that can be fully enabled in Settings or (re?)implemented at some future point? It would obviously be a useful feature to have, if only because I'd like to be able to consult the frequency indications for any characters not in my print copy of the smaller ABC ECCE. Thanks either way. Quote
