Lu Posted October 22, 2019 at 05:33 PM Report Posted October 22, 2019 at 05:33 PM I'm working on a small translation Dutch to Chinese* and looking for a term. It is for a company specialised in large-scale tiling projects. They don't produce the tiles themselves - they are part of the building process. They will work with contracters to make sure that your large new tile floor in your classroom/car dealership/whatever is laid quickly and at exactly the right time. My question: what would you call such a company in Chinese? 瓷砖匠 sounds way too small-scale; 瓷砖商 sounds to me like they mainly sell boxes with tiles; and 瓷砖公司 also seems to mean 'a company that sells tiles'. Can anyone help? * Yes it's better to translate from your second language, not into it, but it really is a small translation and apart from this one term it is easy. Quote
