Getting a student visa

Recommended Posts

Hey,

I live extremely far away from any Chinese Embassy in Canada, was wondering if anyone knew if there were alternatives to showing up in person for the application? Driving 15+ hours both ways doesn't sound fun.

Thank you!

I had a similar situation. I found a Visa Application center about a half hour from my house and they handled everything for me. They helped me with the form and sent over my passport and everything. On the bottom of the form is a section for someone handling the application for another party. This is useful since the consulate requires everything to be done in person, you just don't have to be that person.

There is an off chance that you may have to go in for fingerprints. I was warned about it, but it wasn't necessary and I have my X Visa.
