New Members Magaknuto Posted January 5, 2020 at 04:18 PM New Members Report Posted January 5, 2020 at 04:18 PM I've been studying Chinese for almost 3 months now. I know around 250 characters and some words that accompany them. Recently I stumbled upon some Chinese Characters Copy Books that caught my attention. I wonder can they help me improve the look of my writing (as that's the only thing I think can be improved regarding my current know characters). I would prefer this store: https://www.aliexpress.com/store/group/Chinese%20Regular%20%20Script/4647155_514477970.html?spm=2114.12010612.8148362.8.26ad1185faEn4t&origin=n&isFreeShip=y&SortType=price_desc&g=y because it offers free shipping to my country but few other books that I have found are: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32885365086.html at 22$ with shipping and https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000366457361.html at 16$ with shipping. Any thoughts and recommendations would be helpful! Quote
889 Posted January 5, 2020 at 07:36 PM Report Posted January 5, 2020 at 07:36 PM As long as you're ordering the copy books, order a big stack or two of thin paper with large lined blocks for actually copying the characters. You'll go through a lot of paper. Note that free overseas shipping on Aliexpress can be slow. Quote
New Members Magaknuto Posted January 5, 2020 at 08:58 PM Author New Members Report Posted January 5, 2020 at 08:58 PM Thanks for the suggestion! All products that i have found so far come with a so called "Magic Pen". They say that inc will disappear after 5-10 which would leave sheets clears. This will work with standard sheets and with 3D sheets witch are not replaceable. People in reviews says it works. Should I go with it or stick to a traditional method? Quote
889 Posted January 6, 2020 at 11:27 AM Report Posted January 6, 2020 at 11:27 AM No reason not to try it, but at some point you want to get used to regular paper and pen. As I said, since Aliexpress can be slow -- they often ship through Singapore -- you may as well find a good stationery store and order everything you're going to need at once. The paper is not expensive, but hard to find ouside China. Quote
