New Members cnr Posted January 9, 2020 at 09:59 PM New Members Report Posted January 9, 2020 at 09:59 PM Hi guys, Has anyone applied for the CIS one year scholarship with an HSK5 and got it? What was your score? I've heard that they think it's a "wasted" spot for people with HSK5. I'll be taking the HSK5 on the 11th so don't have a score yet. Do you think deliberately getting something in the 150s would improve my chances or should I give it my 100%? Thank youuuuu! Quote
laoban33 Posted March 20, 2020 at 08:11 AM Report Posted March 20, 2020 at 08:11 AM I would apply with an HSK 3 or 4 if I were you Quote
Tuxon Posted March 29, 2020 at 01:33 AM Report Posted March 29, 2020 at 01:33 AM I would go with HSK4. When you are applying for a master or career, they will ask for you to have HSK5 to start, if you dont have it they will give you 1 year of Chinese language so you can reach that level. I say this cause they see HSK5 as you have already dominated the language. Im studying now in China and i know some people in 高级二 that will take the HSK5 exam after finishing this semester, and they are in the last level of Chinese course. If you cant make HSK4 because time limit is over, then just do your best on HSK5, i dont think your grade will affect their decision. Quote
