ccroyle Posted September 12, 2005 at 06:52 PM Report Posted September 12, 2005 at 06:52 PM Hi, I'm interested in finding where I can purchase a Chinese translation of Hawthorne's The Scarlet Letter. I understand that there are translations in print, but I'm not successful in Googling up anything useful. Any thoughts? Xie Xie Quote

ccroyle Posted September 13, 2005 at 04:00 PM Author Report Posted September 13, 2005 at 04:00 PM Good question. OK, I'll tell you the rest of my story! We have a high school student from Taiwan staying with us this school year. Her English Literature teacher told us that they will soon study "The Scarlett Letter" which is rather difficult for foreign exchange students who don't understand English language very well. I thought that it would be a good idea to find her a traditional Chinese translation that would allow her to read the story in Chinese before she struggles with it in English. I don't understand Chinese myself, but we care very greatly for her success and want to help her. Chas Quote
