What are the kids going to do for a month?

Around here school won't start until March due to the epidemic.  Everyone is cooped up in their apartments with nothing to do.  What are parents going to do with their kids for the entire month of February with no school?  I imagine the parents are going to go nuts if the kids get time off like this.  Their full-time job is "study so that you can grow up and become my retirement plan."  It has to be driving them crazy to let kids have a rest like this.

I wonder if there’s currently a little boom in shut-in teachers giving Skype lessons to shut-in kids.

We are still figuring this out for our little one. This week she’s been taking English, Chinese, and math lessons with Mommy and Daddy; drawing; bicycling around our 院子 with a mask on; playing Alphabet Go Fish and Settlers of Catan in the afternoon and evening; wasting time on her iPad; and bouncing up and down a lot. There are no kids around for her to play with. She is in good spirits, but more agitated and easily distracted than usual.

My wife and I will be far busier with work starting next week. I am not sure what we will do for her then. It’s a concern.

Schools are all using virtual classrooms to continue their studies. There are a few such as 伯索 and ClassIn which suddenly are impossible to get a hold of, because of the huge influx of teacher this week. So kids will pretty much still be having class which match the school hours, plus their extra curricular classes are all doing online classes too, but they'll just be at home for them all. Still, it's a tough situation for parents who have to go to work or work from home having the kids at home all day, especially if your Ayi is from Hubei!
