Need some comments on my English pronunciation

Agree that you stumble on some words, but i think its more to do with your syllable stress in those particular words than the phonemes. Sentence stress and rhythm sounds good to me.

You indeed pronounce Practical as prectical, but it does not hinder my understanding.

Thanks a million for your feedback, SuMMit, Moshen and Lu. I’m thrilled to know that I have made noticeable progress. I’ll continue working on my English until I can speak it as well as a well-educated Englishman. Hmm, this sounds a very ambitious goal but I’m confident I can do it in a number of years. ?

@Moshen
Thank you very much again for your detailed feedback and suggestions, I will take note.

As a matter of fact, the materials I have been using are mainly daily conversations and discussions. I didn’t practise with the script of the recordings beforehand. I saw it on Twitter and decided to use it to make a few recordings on a whim.

Also, thank you very much for your recommendation. I will check some of Dr Seuss' books out. :mrgreen:

And in the phrase "that may occur," you did not pronounce the "r" in "occur."

In British English, one doesn't.

He sounded like he pronounced it correctly to me (I'm a Native British English speaker)

I have had little time for shadowing

Hey buddy, if you to PM me the transcript Id happily read it out for you so you can shadow. I am a native Brit and can do a good standard accent for you. Not sure if that would be helpful or not?

As for the recording, you are reading a very complex sentence so well done for that. I can understand you, but it is difficult. So I would say firstly very well done, but still room for lots of improvement. You are a C+ at the moment, but A for effort.

Thank you very much for your feedback, Anonymous and M.

@Jack
Thank you very much for and your feedback and your offer to help. That certainly would be very helpful. I’ve sent you a PM. ?

Wondering if anyone has any critiques of my pronunciation... ?

Not a critique, but what is the word after "...have yet to hear a compelling solution"?  I listened to it three times and can't make it out.

You can also send me text if you need a second voice to mimic. I'm from the North of England but people have told me that my accent isn't strong.

Many thanks for your offer to help, Mr Ma. That's very kind of you. Hmm, to be honest, I am not looking for new materials to practise with at the moment as I have got a lot of short British English clips. Having said that, I would appreciate it very much if you could give me feedback on my future recordings. ?

Thanks again.

No worries, if I see updates on this thread I'll try to give some feedback.

' And I have yet to hear a compelling solution, if you like, to that practical issue that we’re being faced with, that hopefully would never occur but that may occur in the future"

Heres the part that Kenny sent me ✌️
