Hi everyone, I'm introducing Zengo, a new Chinese learning site.

We designed this site because after learning Chinese for a couple of years we thought most tools and teaching were frustrating.

The words we learnt were not very practical in our professional life such as business communication or understanding what the news is saying. Zengo focuses on teaching pragmatic words that can be used in real life and in professional settings.

First of all, the idea of a language learning site for specific work-related topics is great.

I checked your site for the vocabulary that interests me (medicine). There are something like 30 terms, most of which I already knew even though I am sort of a beginner.

To make your site useful, you should ask specialists in their field (e.g. doctors, engineers, etc) to contribute and to design and update those lists. In med school students learn something from 15000-60000 new words. So, in order to make your site useful, you need to go waaayy beyond your 30-100 words. I would say for medicine start with 5000 words and sort them based on topics or use pictures (e.g. like a picture dictionary). The 30 terms on medicine on your site are something you may also find in a good travel phrase book.

I did not check your site for business Chinese, but there are already lots of resources out there. If you want to get a slice of the pie, you should make sure what you offer is significantly better.
