Reading Practice

This has been popping up in my morning emails daily or so for the last few weeks. After giving it a look over a few times I decided it was worth sharing.

Lots of varied subjects, vocabulary and grammar help.

I don't remember signing up for this, but it is possible I did awhile ago and forgot. 

Anyway it seemed worth sharing although it not a secure site so visit only if you are happy with that.

Some of the essays there would make good study not just for foreign students of Chinese. Like this excerpt from Deng Xiaoping's 1984 speech on Hong Kong:

 

"我们还多次讲过，北京除了派军队以外，不向香港特区政府派出干部，这也是不会改变的。我们派军队是为了维护国家的安全，而不是去干预香港的内部事务。我们对香港的政策五十年不变，我们说这个话是算数的。“
