PDA! software....chinese to chinese dict

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone!

I am trying to find some good software for my Palm Pilot to help me battle through lessons. So far I have PlecoDict (which is an absolute lifesaver!) but I am trying to find a chinese to chinese dictionary for the Palm OS....anybody know of one???

Also if anybody generally knows good software for learning chinese for Palm OS it would be appreciated - I know it's been covered on other people threads but I still havent heard of anything for helping with grammar issues.....any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers Guys!

I'm not aware of any, though Mike Love has shown an interest in making a chinese-chinese availible for pleco-dict. I wouldn't expect it anytime soon though, they had no luck licensing the one he wanted and I think they're busy with the pocketpc version right now.

We're still working on it. Licensing doesn't really take up a lot of time, it's mostly a matter of waiting - waiting for everyone at a publisher who needs to sign off on a license to do so, waiting for the lawyers to draft the contract, etcetera. But we're getting some positive signs on a very big license for an absolutely first-rate Chinese-Chinese dictionary, so while we're still a ways away from an announcement we're definitely making progress.

Well thats good new to hear that there is a Pleco chinese-chinese dictionary in the pipe lines - I look forward to it! But until then i hear about "kdic 现代汉语词典" and searched long n hard to find it on the net - but it seems all the downloads sites are broken :wall . If anyone can provide a link to it, or provide a link to someother dictionaries for Palm i would be very grateful.

Thanks everyone,

Chris
