Anano Posted September 3, 2020 at 03:48 PM Report Posted September 3, 2020 at 03:48 PM Hello. Is HSK 3 enough to apply for Chinese government scholarship or do I need higher level certificate? Quote
马M Posted September 3, 2020 at 10:36 PM Report Posted September 3, 2020 at 10:36 PM You don't need a HSK certificate if the course you are applying for is taught in English. If you are applying for courses taught in Chinese, I think the Universities will specify which level you need. I think it's usually HSK 4 or 5, maybe some Universities are more relaxed on the HSK level requirement though. I'm still learning about the process myself, so if anybody wants to step in and correct me, please do! 1 Quote

马M Posted September 3, 2020 at 10:43 PM Report Posted September 3, 2020 at 10:43 PM No worries, I would imagine it would be a struggle studying while at HSK 3 level. Also, you never specified what course you are applying for, is it Bachelors, Masters, or a language course? Quote
Anano Posted September 3, 2020 at 10:49 PM Author Report Posted September 3, 2020 at 10:49 PM I think I`ll apply for language course first, but still not so sure. Quote
马M Posted September 4, 2020 at 02:01 PM Report Posted September 4, 2020 at 02:01 PM Oh, in that case, I think HSK 3 will be accepted. My previous answers were assuming you were wanting to study some kind of degree course. Good luck! Quote
