Non-Chinese Asian Literature in Chinese Translation

Recommended Posts

Anybody aware of any non-Chinese Asian literature available in Chinese? I've got a bunch of Japanese samurai novels and the Tibetan 格萨尔王 and a Vietnamese history written in 1400 in Chinese. But I would rather be interested in seeing Korean literature, Thai, or anything else, really. I've searched without success, though. Japanese literature seems to have a respectable history in Chinese translation, but the people I've spoken with have never even seen Korean literature in Chinese, much less Thai or Indian or Mongolian.

I don't know much about contemporary Korean literature but much of the classical literature that you seem to be looking for from Korea would have largely been written in classical Chinese characters.
