Translation tattoo idea

This is a possible tattoo idea, 'its the darkest before the dawn', could I get it translated into chinese tradition symbols please?!

It can be done but the imagery was imported in translation so doesn't really come over as particularly special in Chinese in my opinion, which would be even less of a reason to have it tattooed in a language you don't know.

Anyway, to answer the question you asked, one version is which is fairly literal modern vernacular is 黎明前最黑暗 , maybe something like 昏天暗地天将破晓 to sound more literary but I've just made that up and it might be rubbish. Would advise against in any case.

there must be a good idiom that captures this, I can only think of 苦盡甘來 but that's not quite the same
