Can somebody help me to read it or which language is it? Tomsima Posted October 9, 2020 at 09:47 PM Report Posted October 9, 2020 at 09:47 PM The first two characters appear to be 初井. Judging by the style of the calligraphy, and the fact that a Google search seems to suggest 初井 is a Japanese name (I don't speak Japanese), I would guess this is the name of a Japanese person (artist, collector, teacher?) The last character I'm not too sure about, maybe someone more familiar with Japanese names could chime in? Quote
kunstefan Posted October 10, 2020 at 08:38 AM Author Report Posted October 10, 2020 at 08:38 AM Thank you very very much. 福井丈 means Takeshi Fukui, I guess? So far I found no artist, maybe it was the pre-owner... It was a big help anyway. Thank you! Quote
