Anyone using 5G in Mainland China?

Is anyone here using 5G on the mainland?

In particular I'm wondering if it's worth investing in one of the Portable WiFi access points that supports 5G, as I will quite probably have to stay somewhere with poor internet connectivity when I finally make it back to Hangzhou in a few weeks.

Something like this maybe?  https://item.jd.com/63637844826.html

Also, what's a reliable source for checking 5G coverage in China?

This "white paper" by Huawei makes Hangzhou sound like a 5G paradise, but of course it could all just be marketing spin. Then again since Alibaba's HQ is in town, maybe they've pushed for infrastructure there or something?

I got the Xiaomi 10 Lite 5G a couple months ago and it's about the most reasonably priced 5G model around. Works fine in general, though I haven't tested 5G on it anywhere yet. It supports WiFi hotspot and Bluetooth tethering, though again, I haven't tested these functions.

Yes, that's it. The blue/green model looks cool, especially since the back is Gorilla Glass.

Nice screen, sound and cameras for the money. Not wild about the on-screen fingerprint unlock. Also, can't expand storage.

Remember, Xiaomi names their phones with confusingly similar names. Take care!
