Kenny同志 Posted November 4, 2020 at 02:01 PM Report Posted November 4, 2020 at 02:01 PM My students, all majoring in business English, are organising an event called 職場達人秀 where all participants are required to showcase their work-related capabilities. I find this particularly difficult to translate. Any ideas, folks? I thought of Top Ladies in the Workplace. But this seems a bit too long and doesn't sound good enough to my non-native ear. Edit: I forgot to mention that I work at a girls' school so all participants are young girls. Quote

Kenny同志 Posted November 5, 2020 at 05:46 AM Author Report Posted November 5, 2020 at 05:46 AM @Jim Many thanks Jim. I thought about that one and it should work very well. Unfortunately, the name of our school is dreadfully long and cannot be shortened... @roddy Many thanks Roddy. I like this one. As a language learning question, what do you think of 'Top Workplace Ladies’? Quote
roddy Posted November 5, 2020 at 05:55 AM Report Posted November 5, 2020 at 05:55 AM Ladies is quite dated, I’d avoid it. [in a work context, at least] Hang on: The 2020 Office Olympics! 1 1 Quote
