A man, in 2015 or thereabouts, is talking about an invention he was cooking up as a boy in 1993.

就算那个记录着灵魂对讲机进程的日记本丢失,我也能清楚地记得他开始的时候。一九九三年十一月。

My question: has the diary been lost, or is he talking about if the diary would be lost at some future point? I feel like if the diary is already lost, there should be a 了 somewhere in there, and the missing 了 means that he still has the diary (or at least thinks it's sitting in a drawer somewhere) and it's not yet lost. But it reads a bit weird when I translate it like that, so now I'm unsure.

Help is much appreciated!

Thanks both! I can safely stick with my originel interpretation then.
