i__forget Posted November 22, 2020 at 11:43 AM Report Posted November 22, 2020 at 11:43 AM Why has this company not charged you 10% as a deposit/cancellation fee from the beginning? Quote
Mijin Posted November 22, 2020 at 12:42 PM Author Report Posted November 22, 2020 at 12:42 PM Yep, I guess they will next time. The impression I got was, that that company primarily works with larger corporate clients and I was barely worth their time. btw the message I got asking for 10%, was from the lady who was organizing the move, and she asked to be paid to her wechat account. Now...I am not implying anything untoward is happening here, but I may not have gone down their "normal" customers' pipeline for this thing. Or, it could be one of those times in China, where you think you're dealing with a company directly, but it's really a middleman. Regardless, I'll update here if I end up paying or if there's other news. I do feel bad paying *nothing*, but 2000 rmb is past the pain threshold, so they are going to have to at least nag me for it.
