Downloading the Pleco Basic Bundle on a Xiaomi with no Google play

I just went online to buy the basic bundle for Pleco and it keeps telling me that "in-app billing is not supported".  It sounds like it is an issue with Google Play, but my phone is a Xiaomi - no GP on it   There must be a work around for this.

Xiaomi has a Google Play Services installer in the app store that comes with the phone.

Wow!  I searched all of the options in my MI Get Apps icon and did not see it.  Does it have a Chinese name?

You can buy it from our website at store.pleco.com if you can't get Google Play working.

 

However, before doing that I'd suggest that you delete the version of Pleco you have on your phone and re-download the APK directly from our website (pleco.com/getandroid). It sounds like the version you have now was scraped from Google Play by a website we don't officially list on (otherwise it would be redirecting you to our website to make purchases - the only version we don't do that in is the Google Play one, because it's a violation of their review guidelines), and it's possible that an unofficial download like that might have had malware or advertising or some other horrifying crap added to it.
