markpete Posted January 25, 2021 at 06:31 AM Report Posted January 25, 2021 at 06:31 AM Hi, all. Any recommendations for comprehensive textbooks (i.e. ones that include at least vocabulary, passages for reading, and passages for listening) that would be appropriate after HSK 5 (~2500 words)? I'm trying to build my vocabulary but finding it a slog to do without much material that reinforces it. I started going through A Course in Contemporary Chinese-- I like it a lot but I already know 80-90% of the vocabulary (at least in books 3 and 4). I've used a few different HSK text books and haven't been satisfied with the quality, so I'd prefer to stay away from those. Thanks, Mark 1 Quote
yanux Posted January 25, 2021 at 08:46 AM Report Posted January 25, 2021 at 08:46 AM I can recommend Boya from HSK5 onwards. You may look at Boya Intermediate II (博雅汉语中级刺篇II) if you feel its a tick to difficult take a look at 刺篇1 Personally I find the 2nd book of the intermediate series more matching a HSK6+ level. 1 Quote
