New Members VdotMac Posted February 16, 2021 at 07:03 AM New Members Report Posted February 16, 2021 at 07:03 AM I was young and dumb, when I first went into the military, and got a tattoo that was supposed to say “merciless one.” However, I had a family friend tell me that this is NOT what is on my arm. However, she’ll never tell me the definition and simply makes my arm a joke for her and her husband. Can someone let me know what this says? Pleeeeeeease? Quote

Dlezcano Posted February 16, 2021 at 09:27 AM Report Posted February 16, 2021 at 09:27 AM 極惡非道 means "to do things through very unorthodox ways". It's also the name of the Japanese movie "Outrage". Quote
Demonic_Duck Posted February 16, 2021 at 04:04 PM Report Posted February 16, 2021 at 04:04 PM More than unorthodox, it's more like evil/immoral. Connotations might be different in Japanese though, I don't know. Quote
alantin Posted February 16, 2021 at 08:50 PM Report Posted February 16, 2021 at 08:50 PM I just asked my Japanese wife. She says it's normally used in Japanese. She translated it as "devilish" or "someone who can do extremely evil things" and told me to think of holocaust as an example. Quote
