Sreeni Posted February 20, 2021 at 11:46 AM Author Report Posted February 20, 2021 at 11:46 AM Got some help and come up as below. any sentence incorrect or can be improved? Quote

I am still learner. A teacher of great caliber helped me with the above Compo. checked in Google translator for both of the words [with and without 而言] it means “This is of great benefit to my writing” Pleco Meaning: 而言 éryán with regard to (preceding phrase) could you elaborate more on this, where 而言 should be used? EnergyReaper Posted February 24, 2021 at 01:35 AM Report Posted February 24, 2021 at 01:35 AM I didn't mean adding 而言 is wrong in your example. I just thought it's a bit wordy here and prefer the rhythm without 而言. I think 而言 is often used in "对 someone 而言" structure and put at the beginning of a sentence. For her, books are as necessary to life as bread. 对她而言,书就像面包一样是生活的必需品 for me, writing is a kind of recall.
