mungouk Posted February 25, 2021 at 01:49 AM Report Posted February 25, 2021 at 01:49 AM Does anyone have pointers to a list of onomatopoeia in Chinese and English, in particular as used in comics? There are a few in this 2008 post and an interesting list of trans-lingual onomatopoeia in this wikipedia article (a bit short on the Mandarin stuff), but in particular I'm looking for words equivalent to beep ("di~"?), click, etc. Thanks! Actually I did find a couple of things after posting yesterday: Fluent U: Chinese Onomatopoeia: How to Tic Toc, Snore, Giggle and More in Chinese Beijing Kids: Mandarin Monday: “Wang Wang” or “Woof Woof”?
