suMMit Posted March 27, 2021 at 11:04 AM Report Posted March 27, 2021 at 11:04 AM Can anyone recommend a good, free audio player for Mac? There are a few things I don't really like about iTunes, for one thing, I can't find a way to go back a few seconds at the press of a button. Quote
mungouk Posted March 27, 2021 at 12:51 PM Report Posted March 27, 2021 at 12:51 PM VLC is generally the tool of choice for all platforms for practically any audio or video format. Or Audacity if you want to edit. Both free. Also, more of a tool for musicians and a bit old by now, but the "Amazing Slow Downer" can slow down audio without changing the pitch. Also free. https://www.ronimusic.com/amsldox.htm Quote
mungouk Posted March 27, 2021 at 01:52 PM Report Posted March 27, 2021 at 01:52 PM Also, I tend to open basic audio files with Quicktime Player. iTunes can be a nuisance most of the time, except for albums and maybe podcasts. If your Macbook has a touch-bar, you can use Quicktime Player to "scrub" backwards and forwards within audio and video files, which is very convenient. Quote
