New Members IanSiXian99 Posted April 23, 2021 at 10:02 PM New Members Report Posted April 23, 2021 at 10:02 PM Hello! I am trying to find a poem by Luo Qilan in the original Chinese, and having a hard time tracking it down. Robyn Hamilton wrote an article titled "The Pursuit of Fame" which explores the experiences of Luo Qilan as a woman poet. In this article, Robyn quotes a poem titled "Fragrant Tea", which in her bibliography she has listed as coming from the 听秋轩闺中同人集. I cannot find the original "Fragrant Tea" poem, or this collection anywhere. Could anyone help me track it down? Thanks! (Here is a citation for Hamilton's article Hamilton, Robyn. "The Pursuit of Fame: Luo Qilan (1755-1813?) and the Debates about Women and Talent in Eighteenth-century Jiangnan." Late Imperial China, vol. 18 no. 1, 1997, p. 39-71. khakiphantom Posted April 25, 2021 at 01:39 AM Report Posted April 25, 2021 at 01:39 AM Do you know what the original name of the poem was? (sorry, I don't have access to the article you mention so I can't check it myself). Could it be 茶烟? https://digital.library.mcgill.ca/mingqing/search/details-poem.php?poemID=11006&language=ch 1 Quote
