electrofly Posted September 27, 2005 at 03:15 AM Report Posted September 27, 2005 at 03:15 AM Hi, i asked a hongkong friend to bring some samples from shenzhen over to Hong Kong and he told me that chinese customs wanted to tax him as the items are considered to be of commercial value.I actually need my HK friend to post the items to me in Australia and i'm not really impressed with the postal system in china. I have been to shenzhen many times and i have brought countless things over to HK but i have never been stopped before. My friend says its because he is a Hong Kong-er and hence, he will taxed. Anyway out of this ? i did suggest that he post the stuff from Shenzhen to Hong Kong or get a local chinese to bring the things over to HK for him. I heard that it is possible to post your items in Shenzhen but the service provider will be using hong kong post instead of China Post. Quote
