Brade Posted July 14, 2021 at 10:28 AM Report Posted July 14, 2021 at 10:28 AM Hello, I am wanting to print a Hanzi poster/wall chart with all the 1500 most common Chinese characters with pinyin and English definitions underneath. See image attached showing an example, however, this image size is too small to print in a large poster format such as AO. Every place I have found who sells these seems to no longer be in business! Does anyone know of where I can find/purchase a file which I can then take to a print shop? Many thanks, Chris Quote
amytheorangutan Posted July 14, 2021 at 10:45 AM Report Posted July 14, 2021 at 10:45 AM I found this 2000 characters printed onto 2 posters https://store.mandarinposter.com/shop/the-first-1000-chinese-characters#more-info Quote

Unfortunately, I think that's the only one I could find online. I guess printing in China might be cheap, I'm not sure but you might want to check first? Because if I were to print them that size in the UK it would probably ended up costing me almost the same amount. Quote
889 Posted July 14, 2021 at 12:56 PM Report Posted July 14, 2021 at 12:56 PM Why not scan with an OCR then convert to .pdf file with scalable fonts. Should be able to print it at any size. 1 Quote

Brade Posted July 15, 2021 at 09:26 AM Author Report Posted July 15, 2021 at 09:26 AM Sadly not, see email from them sent yesterday. It's amazing how difficult this has been to source. I will keep searching. @vellocet thanks for your idea but what exactly should I scan? The low res jpeg? And the OCR from where, my phone? Thanks 1 Quote
