YouTube Channels with Soft Subtitles (Chinese)

I know there are one or two other threads about YouTube channels, but I wanted one to specifically collect channels that have soft sub in Chinese, since they are useful for learning in all kinds of ways. Those are the kind of subtitles you can turn on and off with the little button at the bottom of the youtube player. I would like to list any with traditional or simplified characters, but not English, although that might be worth it's own thread.

 

I've listed genre and gender of the speaker (if you plan to use for shadowing purposes).

小高姐的 Magic Ingredients  is great for cooking vocab, recipes are great form getting used to stuff like 把 construction, most videos have subtitles.

江峰时刻 is great for historical stuff and most videos have subtitles within a few hours.

I just use youtube-dl myself. You can grab the videofile and multiple subs, perfect for subs2srs.

I recommend captionpop extension on chrome for finding chinese soft-subbed vids on youtube.

 

these are chinese cartoons with soft-subs. might be useful for beginners since the dialogue is short compared to shows for adults . speaking of cartoons, there are soft-subbed peppa the pig vids on youtube.

Recently I quite like 悉尼奶爸 aka Sydney Daddy https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCbKazqxVVIT0aIm4ZPR9t4w

Worth pointing out that the most recent episode or two typically don't have subs immediately, but they generally seem to get put on a few days later.

 

I also have a soft spot for both 梁文道* and 周孝正. There are soft-subbed videos on what appear to be their channels:

The way youtube allows you to open up the scrolling subtitles in a side panel ("open transcript) is exceedingly helpful for copy/pasting words or sentences or indeed the whole transcript into dictionaries or SRS etc.

 

*梁文道's subtitles aren't ideal for playing around with because they're not perfectly formatted, originally I thought they were auto-generated from the audio but I don't think that's true.
