Please pinyin for simple meal ?

Kindly can someone give me in pinyin the expression for a common meal.

I heard a term once and I believe it to be two words/characters. The context that I heard it used was in reference to an invitation to come to someone house for a simple meal consiting of mainly leftovers.

thanks

biàn fàn (便饭) The term that I am searching ended with 'fan3' but I am 60 per cent sure didn't have bian4. Are there other possibilities ?

Many thanks !

The word I was searching for was 'Jiachang2'. I was told -perhaps erroneously, that this term is for a simple, ordinary meal.

Would it be best to say 'jiachang fan4' ?

Thanks to all,

In Chinese, usually we use 家常便饭 jia1 chang2 bian4 fan4 to express this meaning, but there are four Chinese characters here.

There is also 家常菜 (jia1chang2cai4). I am not sure whether jia1chang2 on its own has the same meaning.
