New Members Liv86 Posted September 10, 2021 at 10:09 PM New Members Report Posted September 10, 2021 at 10:09 PM Hello, Can someone help me identify this Chinese vase. It's a vase that my mother inherited form an aunt. I don't have any additional info on it and I am very curious about it. Back of the vase Front of the vase Thanks in advance! Quote
889 Posted September 11, 2021 at 05:37 PM Report Posted September 11, 2021 at 05:37 PM This is marked as the product of Jiangxi Qun Yi Hua Guan 江西 群益画馆出品, a porcelain factory or shop in Jiangxi province, presumably Jingdezhen, active in the Republican era and widely known. Look at the left-most column of your vase and this one. You'll see the marking is the same: 江西 群益画馆出品. http://imgpai.cang.com/201612/18/20161218010527d88d9s9imlrtcscu.JPG!s1200 Remember though, older items are often copied in China. There are almost too many vases with this marking on the web. Edit: Corrected reading from 西记 to 江西. Quote
