English translations of Chinese textbooks

Recommended Posts

I am teaching grades 6 and 8 in a private school.  Because of recent changes in policy, I now have to use the Chinese textbooks in my class.  These are the same textbooks used in public schools - 100-125 pages or so per book.  I teach history/social studies/ geography/ economics in on class for these 2 grades.  Does anyone know of a site that contains the books translated into English?  either in pdf or doc format?

I'm afraid there's little chance you'll find such translations, unless those textbooks are originally written in English.

... or WeChat Scan > Translate maybe.

Has it really come to this... that you're told to use a Chinese textbook with no English translation but expected to teach the subject in English?

Crazy.

Are these books available as pdf in Chinese somewhere?

They sound like interesting reading material.

A few hundred pages doesn't sound like much. I think a scanner and OCR should be a good substitute for real English translations.
