Pengyou Posted October 20, 2021 at 02:36 AM Report Posted October 20, 2021 at 02:36 AM I am teaching grades 6 and 8 in a private school. Because of recent changes in policy, I now have to use the Chinese textbooks in my class. These are the same textbooks used in public schools - 100-125 pages or so per book. I teach history/social studies/ geography/ economics in on class for these 2 grades. Does anyone know of a site that contains the books translated into English? either in pdf or doc format? Quote
Kenny同志 Posted October 20, 2021 at 06:44 AM Report Posted October 20, 2021 at 06:44 AM I'm afraid there's little chance you'll find such translations, unless those textbooks are originally written in English. 1 Quote

mungouk Posted October 20, 2021 at 02:46 PM Report Posted October 20, 2021 at 02:46 PM ... or WeChat Scan > Translate maybe. Has it really come to this... that you're told to use a Chinese textbook with no English translation but expected to teach the subject in English? Crazy. Quote
Pengyou Posted October 22, 2021 at 12:43 AM Author Report Posted October 22, 2021 at 12:43 AM No...expected to teach it in English and Chinese Quote
alantin Posted October 23, 2021 at 04:14 PM Report Posted October 23, 2021 at 04:14 PM Are these books available as pdf in Chinese somewhere? They sound like interesting reading material. A few hundred pages doesn't sound like much. I think a scanner and OCR should be a good substitute for real English translations. 1 Quote
