Hello, i have found a bottle marked Moutai when clearing my mothers house after her death. I know it was given to my father by a Chinese government official on a visit to lecture in Fuzhou but i am curious as to value as we cant find any others to match against online. any help would be appreciated.

Clear pictures of all those characters at the bottom, please. They should explain what you've got. The date in particular counts for value.

You have a bottle of Jingyu wine 京玉酒. This is made by the Maotai Distillery, but it's not quite as highly regarded as Maotai wine itself. It's a different product with a different taste.

Your product is made to the Chinese standard gb/T10781.1-89 and is Excellent Grade 优级, the highest grade.

According to the label, the date of production is somewhere on the bottle, probably near the cap.

By the way, if you ever go to China and are honored with a gift like this but can't see how you'll get it home, there are small shops all over China which specialize in recycling gifts.
