Sources for modern Literary Chinese

Recommended Posts

Are there any sources for more recent books in Literary Chinese?

I really like this language, but I lack interest for ancient literature.

As Classical Chinese was the main form of writing until 1919, there should be a huge amount of more modern texts out there, but they are no where to be found so it seems...

Where exactly have you looked?!

It's a country with a population of 1,4 billion people producing insane amounts of texts every day!

You should find good book recommendations in many threads here.

Just to mention a few:

As to where to look for them, here is one good site for that: https://www.99csw.com/index.php

If you fancy buying physical books, the two I've used are taobao and amazon.

Many modern authors wrote in classical Chinese, e.g.  蔣介石, 蕭公權, 柳詒徵, 陳寅恪, 錢鍾書, 章太炎, 魯迅, and 鄭逸梅. Try searching for their works.

Aa! Kenny同志's reply only made me realize what was being asked! ?
Modern texts in Classical Chinese! How interesting! I hadn't even realized that it is still used actively today.
