New Members red1 Posted March 26, 2022 at 01:26 PM New Members Report Posted March 26, 2022 at 01:26 PM Hi there, I have a work change, so I am thinking of recovering my Chinese I studied decades ago. The goal is to find a regular job in a Chinese company or work as a translator to expand my skills with a distant shift maybe to medical translation. The level now is in between HSK3-HSK4, was at around HSK5 approximately. Time to finish the task - 3-6 months. Quote
pon00050 Posted March 26, 2022 at 10:40 PM Report Posted March 26, 2022 at 10:40 PM I always wondered how effective the following website may be for someone like you, meaning someone who previously studied Chinese and wants to recover. https://www.clozemaster.com/l/cmn-eng If you do end up trying, please let us know about the outcome. 2 Quote

I do not want to discourage you, but HSK 5 is still years away from being a translator or functional at work. I would suggest you start reading & listening to lots of simplified content (e.g. TheChairMansBao) and work your way up. Quote
