pamokkha Posted October 7, 2005 at 09:39 PM Report Posted October 7, 2005 at 09:39 PM Hi, I read an article about the Overseas Chinese Policies of the PRC's Central Government. But the article only contains Pinyin and no Hanzi. In the following passage I dont know which Hanzi are right: "Before the 1970s the overseas Chinese had been increasingly assimilated into local society. Chinese scholars call this phenomenon a transformation 'from Chinese nationals to overseas Chinese to assimilated society' (huaqiao - huaren - rongru dang de shehui)." The Hanzi for huaqiao and huaren I know (华侨 - 华人). For the rest I dont know. My guess so far: rongru 溶入 dang ? (not even an idea) de 的 shehui 社会 I hope someone knows the missing Hanzi. Florian Quote
mandarin123 Posted October 7, 2005 at 10:28 PM Report Posted October 7, 2005 at 10:28 PM could it be "溶入当地社会 ---- rongru dangdi shehui" assimilated into local society? Quote
