Gela6 Posted May 14, 2022 at 11:30 AM Report Posted May 14, 2022 at 11:30 AM I’m watching a Chinese drama. In it, there’s a part where a man is describing his uncle’s relationship with a woman. He says “It was difficult for uncle to maintain his beard at that time” What does that mean?? Does it mean he had feelings for her? Or was she just that frustrating? Please help! It’s driving me crazy! Quote
Demonic_Duck Posted May 15, 2022 at 11:52 PM Report Posted May 15, 2022 at 11:52 PM What's the Chinese? In English, "beard" is a common gay slang term for a gay man's opposite-gender companion who helps him hide his sexuality, but I'm not sure if it's used that way in Chinese too. Quote
